For the second time in recent years, TNT Express has been awarded the Edinburgh Military Tattoo express freight contract for the band’s Australian performance.

TNT imported about 10,000kg of band equipment, weapons and ammunition for 13 military bands around the world including Europe, New Zealand, China, Trinidad and Tobago and Brunei. Additionally, TNT has moved the equipment domestically across Australia for locally participating bands.

“TNT Australia was once again delighted to be handling the freight requirements for such a prestigious event,” says Bob Black, Managing Director of TNT Australia.

“Our ability to pull this complex project plan together at such short notice, is once again testimony to our can-do attitude and TNT’s ambition to become the number-one international and domestic express provider in Australia.

This complex logistical exercise was managed by TNT staff as a coordinated global project, using a combination of TNT aircraft, vehicles and commercial airlines.

Following the performances this week, TNT will then export the bands equipment back across the globe.
