CEVA's materials arm has launched a new packaging agency in Victoria's Gippsland to supply produce growers in the region.
CEVA Pallecon says the sub-agency at Lindenow in East Gippsland will provide vegetable growers with a new range of fresh food packaging solutions.
East Gippsland is one of Australia’s principal farming regions producing a variety of seasonal products including broccoli, lettuce and cabbage for local and national markets.
The start of the harvest season has seen demand for CEVA's plastic folding bins increase.
The CEVAbin is designed to meet a standard Australian footprint and folds down to one third of its size to make freight and storage of products easier for the grower. The bins, made from 100 percent recyclable food grade polymer, are supplied on a rental basis in vented and non-vented models.
CEVA Managing Director Howard Critchley says the agency will provide customers with proven solutions to meet supply chain requirements.
"By opening a sub-agency in the region, we are able to provide a personalised and timely service that will meet the rising demand for our products," he says.
"We will monitor the performance of this sub-agency closely with a view to opening similar sub-agencies at other principal food growing regions in Australia."
